The name of the complex is Piazza dei Miracoli, which became a World Heritage Site by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) in 1987. The tower is expected to open to the public in November 2001.Luckily for us, the day we visited the city was wonderful with an incredible blue sky and lots of sun.
